New Pipe, Different Problems
Stapleton International Airport closed in February 1995 when Denver International Airport opened. Redevelopment broke ground in 2001 across about 4,700 acres, and the neighborhood took the Central Park name in 2020. Every home here was built within the last few decades.
That means PVC sewer laterals and copper or PEX water services almost everywhere. Age-related failures like root-filled clay joints or collapsing fiber pipe essentially do not exist here. What does happen is settlement at a single point, a joint that was not seated during installation, or damage from later work on the lot.
Park Hill, right next door, is a different story. Its homes were built mostly between 1900 and the 1940s, with clay laterals under large street trees. Two properties a few blocks apart can need completely different diagnoses.
