Why the City You Are In Matters

Every jurisdiction handles underground work differently

Sewer and water infrastructure in this metro is not one system. It is dozens of them. Denver Water owns the tap inside the city. Aurora runs its own utility end to end. Large parts of Jefferson and Arapahoe counties are served by independent water and sanitation districts, and the foothills run on wells and septic systems with no main in sight.

That changes who reviews the work, who inspects it, and how the street gets restored afterward. It also changes what is likely buried in your yard. A 1920s Denver bungalow and a 2015 Castle Rock build have almost nothing in common underground. Pick your city below and the page will tell you what we actually see there.

  • Camera-first diagnosis before anyone quotes a dig
  • Permits and inspections handled with the local authority
  • Trenchless where the pipe allows it, excavation where it does not
  • Emergency line failures answered around the clock

Do Not See Your City?

Tell us where the line is and we will tell you straight

The list above covers the communities we work in most, not a fence around the map. If you are near the metro and have a sewer lateral, a water service, a tap, or a storm drain in trouble, send the details and we will tell you whether we are the right crew for it.

Denver Sewer and Water is a private, family owned and operated company. We are not Denver Water or the City and County of Denver. If you need to reach the municipal utility about a bill or a main, that is denverwater.org.

Inside Denver itself the useful unit is the neighborhood rather than the city, because a block built before the war and a block built in the sixties have almost nothing in common underground. Our Denver neighborhood guides are grouped by build era.
