# Septic Line Cleaning and Hydro Jetting in Denver

## When Is Jetting the Right Call on a Septic Line?

Jetting earns its place where the obstruction coats the pipe wall. Grease, soap scum, biomat, and fine root hair all build inward from the circumference, and a cable simply passes through the middle of that. Water at pressure takes it back to bare pipe.

It is also the right call where the line has been cabled repeatedly and keeps blocking. That pattern almost always means the material was never actually removed, only perforated. Either that, or there is a structural defect holding material in place, which the camera will show.

## When Jetting Is the Wrong Tool

That is not a reason to avoid jetting. It is the reason we camera first, every time, without exception. The camera tells us the material and the condition, and that determines whether the answer is a jet, a cable, or a repair.

## How Septic Line Jetting Runs

2. **Select nozzle and pressure** Nozzle choice and pressure are matched to the pipe material and to what is in the line, not set to one default.
3. **Jet the run** Work outward and pull back, scouring the wall and flushing the material to the access point rather than pushing it downstream into the tank.
4. **Camera again and report** A second run confirms bare pipe and documents any defect the buildup was hiding.

## Frequently asked questions

**Will hydro jetting damage my septic line?**

Not on sound pipe. On pipe that has already failed structurally, it can, which is exactly why we run a camera before the nozzle goes in. If the line cannot take the pressure safely we do not jet it, and we tell you what the alternative is.

**How is jetting different from snaking?**

A cable bores a channel through the obstruction. Jetting removes the obstruction from the pipe wall. On grease and biomat that difference is the whole result, because material left on the wall closes the bored channel again quickly.

**Where does the material go when you jet?**

Back toward the access point, where it is removed. Jetting properly means pulling material back, not driving it downstream into the septic tank where it becomes the tank's problem.

**My line blocked again a month after jetting. What now?**

That means there is a defect holding material, most often a belly, an offset joint, or a root entry point that reopens. The post-clean camera run usually shows it. The next step is repair of the defect rather than another clean.
